Career Background

Scott Goldberg is president of the consumer division of CNO Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: CNO). CNO provides life and health insurance, annuities, financial services, and workforce benefits solutions through its family of brands, including Bankers Life, Colonial Penn and Washington National.

Scott is passionate about helping Americans achieve financial security.  He is the founder of the Bankers Life Center for a Secure Retirement, which promotes better awareness through primary research and consumer education and has been recognized in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and SmartMoney.

Previously, Scott led strategic planning at CNA Insurance and held positions with Lante Corporation, Accenture and Arthur Andersen.

Scott serves on the Board of Directors of LL Global, a worldwide research, learning, and development organization for financial services firms; and is a Board member of the Greater Illinois chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

In addition, Scott is active in Hyde Park Angels, the largest angel investing group in the Midwest; and is a member of the Chicago chapter of YPO.

Scott earned a BS in finance, with honors, from the College of Business at the University of Illinois. He earned his MBA, with distinction, from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is a certified public accountant.

Scott lives in Glencoe, IL, with his wife Lori and three children: Alex, Brooke, and Jessica.
