Seth Shapiro
Seth has more than 28 years of investing and portfolio management experience across asset classes and industry sectors in the public and private markets. He is currently a Principal focused on equities at Empyrean Capital Partners, a multi-strategy event-oriented hedge fund with $4 billion of assets under management. Prior to Empyrean, he spent twelve years and was a Partner at Glenhill Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund. Seth previously worked as a Research Analyst at GoldenTree Asset Management where he focused on public and private credit investing and at Bear Stearns Merchant Banking, where he was a Vice President in the firm’s primary private equity business. He began his career in investment banking at Bear Stearns in the Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging group. Seth earned his BBA in Finance with High Distinction from the University of Michigan in 1997. He lives in New York City with his wife and three sons.
