Waleed Nassar, BBA ’04, partner at Lewis Baach Kaufmann Middlemiss PLLC, has been recognized as a 2019 “Equality Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal in its inaugural list of top lawyers who serve as “agents of change.” As a trailblazing litigator, Mr. Nassar has stood up for the rights of Muslims and other marginalized groups throughout his career, including representing detainees Guantanamo and Bagram and serving as defense counsel in one of the highest profile international terrorism cases ever to have been brought in U.S. Federal Court. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Waleed attended New York University School of Law.
