Adam Cohen

Class of 2026

My name is Adam Cohen, and I am originally from Bethesda, Maryland, an area right outside of Washington, D.C.

I am currently a Master of Accounting (MAcc) student at the University of Michigan with undergraduate degrees in both accounting and finance from the University of Pittsburgh. My academic experience includes participation in the CFA Institute Investment Research Challenge, where my team produced a full equity research report and won the local finals, as well as selection into a competitive practicum in portfolio management and security analysis course focused on equity research and risk-return evaluation.

I have worked as a teaching assistant in financial modeling, where I supported a large undergraduate course, and as a research assistant contributing to financial research involving AI-based trend analysis. After graduation from the MAcc program, I will be joining Plante Moran in their Boston office as a staff auditor. I also have an ongoing commitment to service, which is highlighted through my most recent position as Philanthropy Chair of the MAcc class and volunteer work with the IRS VITA program and other community organizations in both Pittsburgh and Michigan.
