Budhaditya Ajoy Konar
Hello, I'm Budhaditya Konar, but you can call me Budha. I’m thrilled to serve as a student ambassador for the Weekend MBA program.
I grew up in Mumbai, India, and hold a degree in Electronics & Telecommunication from the University of Mumbai. I moved to the US in 2011 and with over 16 years in the agricultural and automotive industries, primarily in software and controls development, I currently work as a Product Owner at General Motors, in battery management for electric vehicles.
After a decade working in technical roles in automotive , I recognized the need to gain proficiency about business processes such as operations, strategy, finance and supply chain management. Combining my technical experience with an MBA is my path to making strategic decisions that can significantly impact an organization's roadmap and sustainability. My goal is to leverage my extensive automotive experience into a career in automotive consulting post-graduation.
Being local in Michigan (about 30 mins from campus), Ross school of Business was the clear choice for my MBA journey. Ross has a stellar reputation and has a strong focus on leadership development. The opportunity to learn and collaborate with an outstanding cohort has expanded my horizons beyond engineering onto broader and business insights. My MBA journey so far has been a thrilling and eventful experience, as I balance the complexities of work, school, and family life.
During my application journey, I received invaluable insights and advice from alumni and student ambassadors. I’m excited to share my experiences and answer any questions, hoping to help other aspiring candidates. Please ask any questions and looking forward to engaging and insightful conversations.
