Dominique F. Gill
After graduating from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgsss), I started my career as a commercial insurance broker in New York. I thrived in the industry by obtaining my CPCU designation (like a CPA for insurance professionals) and getting promoted. Unfortunately, those accomplishments did not feel as fulfilling as I thought they would so I asked myself, "what would I do if I never got paid for it?" My response was diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Even though I went on to hold other roles including a Diversity Partnerships Lead, I knew I needed something more (an MBA) to solidify the shift I wanted in my career. At Ross, I'm involved in the consulting and human capital clubs. If you would like to chat more about about switching careers and leading a life of socially driven work, please reach out!
Additionally, I would love to share about being Caribbean in Ann Arbor (Trini to de bone).
