Drew Hubbard
I am originally from Peoria, IL, but I spent a majority of my professional career in Philadelphia, PA. My professional path began in financial services, where I gained experience through Vanguard's Emerging Leader Development rotational program, which was instrumental for exploring career paths. Post-rotational program, I served as Chief of Staff to the Vanguard General Counsel for two years. This experience led me to recognize my passion for people, leadership development, and work optimization.
My interest in driving impactful, people-centered work is what solidified my decision to pursue an MBA, and pivot to a career in consulting. Ross was the ideal choice for me because of its strong emphasis on action-based learning and my personal principle that I "must do before I can become". I knew that the Ross environment is one that would allow me to diversify my experiences, acquire transferable skills to become a global leader, and meet outstanding people along the way.
Ultimately, the exceptional community at Ross was a primary factor in my decision. Through research and an abundance of discussions, I quickly discovered that Ross has an unmatched, tight-knit community. Engaging in honest conversations with current students provided thoughtful insights into what my experience would truly be like, and more importantly, highlighted the kind of community I could build by being surrounded by people genuinely invested in relationship building. This 'pay it forward' culture is something I deeply value and have benefited from, and I am committed to contributing to it and paying that forward. If you have questions about MLT, Consortium Fellowship, pre-MBA recruiting, or coffee, I’d love to chat. I am eager to connect and share more about my experience!
