Elizabeth Tafesse

Hi! I’m Elizabeth Tafesse, and I currently live in Dana Point, California. I work in corporate marketing and data strategy at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where I lead our digital data analytics programs that unify our customer behavior across the business to help our commercial teams make smarter, more predictive decisions. My background spans product design, machine learning analytics, and customer data strategy, and I love building solutions that blend technical rigor with human-centered design.

I decided to pursue my MBA at Michigan Ross to strengthen my leadership acumen, broaden my strategic toolkit, and accelerate the work I’m already passionate about, using data, design, and storytelling to guide better business decisions.

As a military spouse, I’ve maintained and grown my career through six moves in seven years. Outside of work and school I love riding around SoCal in my Vespa GTS 300, sailing out of Dana Point Harbor and exploring walkable communities across California. I’m also Ethiopian-American and a first-generation college undergraduate so I care deeply about creating access and opportunity for others within rooms of business leaders.

Fun facts about me: I love sailing, am passionate about wellness, fitness and walkable cities and am a proud dog mom to a Borzoi named Sabrina.
