Emily Shin

Class of 2028

Hi guys! My name is Emily, I’m a first-generation student from Washington, concentrating in Strategy, and minoring in Asian Languages and Culture. My parents are both from Korea, and I grew up moving between Texas, Missouri, and Washington State.

Being involved in everything from my family’s dry cleaning business, restaurant, and eventually T-Mobile stores have taught me the value of hard work, resilience, leadership, and community. Coming to Ross from out-of-state was the best decision I could have made. The environment and people here align with who I am while constantly challenging me to grow into the person I want to be.

My own BBA Ambassador was a huge influence on my decision to choose Michigan, which is why I wanted to give back and help you through your journey. I’m excited to answer any questions and be a resource for you, just like my Ambassador was for me.

I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s camping, hiking, or exploring the river. As much as I love the Pacific Northwest, Ann Arbor has become a place I’m truly enjoying, with its beautiful nature, spirited campus, and endless opportunities to meet new people.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to me. I am so excited for your journey ahead and hope to meet you all soon. Go Blue!
