Haley Viall
I’m originally from outside of Philadelphia and spent the last several years in New York City. I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare, which led me to study Public Health and Policy Studies at Syracuse University. After graduation, I began my consulting career in the healthcare industry at Deloitte, focusing on the intersection of technology and operations. My work involved partnering with health systems to deliver large-scale technology transformations aimed at enhancing care delivery. That experience sparked my excitement for healthcare innovation and how to strategically integrate it into existing systems to improve quality and expand access to care. I decided to pursue business school to deepen my experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, further develop my leadership skills, and strengthen my business acumen.
I chose Ross because of its action-based learning, leadership development opportunities, and, most importantly, its welcoming and supportive culture. The chance to learn by doing—whether through MAP, entrepreneurial projects, or club leadership—felt like the best environment to push myself and grow. At Ross, I’m diving deeper into social impact, entrepreneurship, and venture capital, all with a healthcare lens, and I’m excited to explore how innovative business models can drive meaningful change in the industry.
Outside of class, I’m passionate about supporting educational non-profits through volunteer work. I also love to travel (ideally somewhere with mountains to hike), and enjoy skiing, yoga, thrifting, and keeping up with Survivor (plus plenty of other reality TV shows).
I’m always happy to chat about consulting, healthcare, breaking into startups or VC, the best ice cream spots in Ann Arbor, or what it’s like moving to the Midwest from the East Coast.
