Hemas Anggari Laras
Hi! I’m Hemas Anggari Laras, born and raised in Indonesia. I earned a degree in Agribusiness and spent eight years experiences at the Indonesia’s largest bank, working across operations transformation, customer experience, performance and strategy. As technology rapidly reshapes financial services, my work increasingly sat at the intersection of operations and tech-enabled change. That’s why I decided to sharpen my foundation in business strategy and technology. I chose Michigan Ross for three reasons: action-based learning, a STEM-friendly path (Management Science), and a down-to-earth community. I’m excited for learning alongside classmates from many industries. Relocating to Ann Arbor as an international student has been an adventure, from housing searches and winter prep, finding halal-friendly food and building a support system quickly. Off campus, you’ll find me practicing golf, exploring Ann Arbor parks, or cooking (my go-to is fried rice). If you’re considering a pivot to banking/operations or navigating Ross as an international student, I’m happy to share my experiences. Go Blue!
