John Philip Abano Bongco

I am a registered nurse with 13 years of experience spanning pediatric emergency, hematology/oncology/BMT, and outpatient infusion care. I've led and supported initiatives to improve patient outcomes—including helping launch a new infusion clinic—and partnered with health informatics teams to implement workflows and technologies that improve safety and efficiency.

I am passionate about the intersection of health, technology, and AI, especially how innovation can expand access, improve outcomes for underserved communities, and reduce clinician burnout.

I am a first-generation U.S. college graduate and second-generation Filipino-American from Vallejo, CA. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, concerts, fitness classes, and theater.
