John Rabago

Class of 2026

I’m John Rabago, a finance professional based in Boston, Massachusetts. I work at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, overseeing financial planning, strategy, and resource alignment for research initiatives that advance scientific innovation.

After graduating from Harvard, I built my career in financial management across mission-driven institutions, including prior roles with AmeriCorps, MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab, and Boston's NPR station, GBH.

I’d always planned to pursue business school and explored several programs before finding the right fit at Ross. The combination of academic rigor, flexibility, collaboration, and real-world application made the decision easy. What stood out most was the sense of community and the opportunity to learn alongside people who are as driven as they are supportive. It’s a place that reminds me why I value thoughtful leadership and collective growth.

Michigan Ross sharpened how I lead, broadened how I think, and connected me with a network I'll carry for the rest of my career. It gave me the chance to explore leadership, strategy, and finance, and what it actually looks like to lead with purpose. During my time in the program, I was part of the Consulting Club and Out For Business (OFB), completed the Michigan Ross Leader Endorsement through the Sanger Leadership Center, and engaged in global and action based learning that pushed my thinking in ways I hadn't expected.

Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, hiking, and spending time outdoors. I love to travel, have visited over 25 countries, and speak fluent Spanish with Portuguese in progress. Please reach out if I can be a resource in any way. I’d love to connect and hear what drives others in their own journeys.
