Kamila Martinez Albuja
Hi everyone! My name is Kamila Martinez, and I’m in the Ross Class of 2027, minoring in entrepreneurship. I am originally from Quito, Ecuador, and moved to the Chicago suburbs when I was seven. In business, I am specifically pursuing a career in marketing, specifically in the tech industry. I have always enjoyed the creative and innovative side of business, and Ross has provided me with so many opportunities to explore my interests further.
Although Michigan is only a five-hour train ride from home, coming here was still pretty daunting. However, I quickly found my community and a second home. As someone who was not very knowledgeable about football before, winning the national championship my freshman year turned me into the biggest football fanatic. I have loved every aspect of being here, whether it is long nights studying at the Ugli (Undergraduate Library), competing in case competitions, or exploring downtown Ann Arbor and trying new restaurants. Ann Arbor truly has it all.
Overall, Ross is a place that provides you with all the opportunities you need. Whether it is our Career Development Office (CDO), the Sanger Leadership Center, or the connections you will make with faculty, there is truly something for everyone.
I know this process can come with a lot of questions and uncertainty, and I would love to be a resource for you. Feel free to reach out with any questions, and I would be happy to share my experiences.
Go Blue!
