Kushal K C

Hello! My name is Kushal K C, and I currently live in the Detroit Metro area. I work as a Project Manager at General Motors - Global Design organization, where I lead high-visibility prototype and concept vehicle programs that bring together design creativity, engineering precision, and strategic execution.

My journey started far from Detroit, in a small village in Nepal, where I built my first solar-powered car at the age of sixteen. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for innovation and set me on a path that eventually led me across the world to pursue engineering and business degrees in the U.S.

Before joining Ross, I earned an Executive Master’s in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, which helped me build a career managing complex automotive programs that merge design and technology. Now, as a proud Ross MBA student, I’m learning to connect that technical foundation with strategic leadership and financial acumen to help shape the future of sustainable mobility.

Outside of work and school, I enjoy traveling, cooking, motorcycling and exploring new cultures. I’m also passionate about mentorship and inspiring students from underrepresented backgrounds to dream big, because if a kid who built a solar car in rural Nepal can one day build concept cars in Detroit, anything is possible.
