Lea Weeks

Class of 2027

Hi there! I’m Lea, a proud member of the vibrant Weekend MBA ‘27 cohort!

I chose the Ross WMBA to deepen my understanding of how an enterprise functions, to build my business acumen and strengthen my strategic thinking and bring that knowledge back to my company. Even early in the program, I’ve noticed a shift in how I approach challenges and the positive ripple effect it’s had on those around me.

What sets Ross apart is its commitment to action-based learning – through experiences like MAP (Multidisciplinary Action Project), team-based projects, case competitions, and leadership development from the Sanger Leadership Center. But the true differentiator is the people. With a cohort of just 120, you truly get to know each other and realize how supportive, collaborative, intelligent and authentic everyone is. I’m incredibly humbled to learn alongside such inspiring leaders and honored to represent Michigan Ross.

Before joining Ross, I earned my undergraduate degree in Accounting from Sam Houston State University—drawn by the opportunity to be a big fish in a small pond. Over the past decade, I’ve built a diverse career at Dow Chemical through its finance rotational program, gaining experience in Audit, Manufacturing Cost, and Credit with additional opportunity to support business development marketing for a breakthrough innovation. Through Ross, I’ve discovered a passion for marketing and the strategic lens it brings to business.

My long-term aspiration is to become an executive at a Fortune 100 company, using the skills and insights gained at Ross to drive meaningful impact. Outside of work and school, I love spending time with my curious toddler daughter and watching her explore the world. I also enjoy CrossFit, reading, traveling, golfing, hiking, and discovering new cuisines with my husband.

If you’re considering an MBA, trust your instincts, take the leap, and explore what Ross has to offer. Whether you're curious about the program, wondering how to balance work, school, and family, or simply want to connect— I’m happy to be a resource. Go Blue!
