Mariana Chapouto Lopes

Hi! My name is Mariana Lopes and I am from São Paulo, Brazil.

I came to the University of Michigan to pursue a Master of Science in Environment and Sustainability. I soon found myself asking: "We already have so many solutions, how can we create financial strategies to implement and scale them?". This question inspired me to embark on an MBA journey at the Ross School of Business, with the aim of bridging the gap between business and sustainability.

Before attending Ross, I worked in corporate sustainability, climate strategy, waste management, and environmental technology. I have worked as a consultant, and supported project implementation in both the private and public sectors. I am now enthusiastic about delving deeper into the world of Sustainable Finance.
