Matt Carson
Before Ross, I went to UNC already interested in the healthcare field, where I earned a BS and then stayed for another two years to complete an MPH with a specialization in data science. From there, I jumped into a medium-sized healthcare technology startup that enabled decentralized clinical trials. I initially joined as a data scientist but eventually transitioned into a product manager role, where I led our data analytics and integrations. I also spent a short stint at FINRA on a product team, where I was responsible for surveillance algorithms that monitored the stock, options, and bonds markets for manipulation.
I came to Ross not only because of its ability to launch my career anywhere, but also because of the vibrant and friendly culture. I want to return to healthcare technology as a product manager, and I believed an MBA at Ross would both accelerate my career and expose me to insights I couldn’t have learned in undergrad. I’m passionate about advancing the healthcare field through technological innovation and developments like AI, as well as making healthcare and clinical trials more accessible for all people.
Outside of school, you can usually find me outdoors hiking, golfing, walking, or just enjoying fresh air. I also love trying new restaurants in Ann Arbor and exploring the broader Michigan area. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat about the intersection of healthcare and technology, equities trading, product management, or really anything at all!
