Mili Bhatnagar

Class of 2027

Hi! I’m Mili Bhatnagar, an MBA student at Michigan Ross. I grew up in the Bay Area and went to UC Davis for undergrad before starting my career at Epic, a healthcare software company. At Epic, I led national recruiting efforts and worked on initiatives to make hiring more thoughtful and effective. My background is in talent acquisition and workforce strategy, and I enjoy exploring how people and organizations can grow together.

I decided to pursue an MBA to build a stronger business toolkit and explore new ways to connect talent strategy with broader organizational goals. I also wanted to step outside of recruiting and better understand how areas like finance, operations, and strategy all come together to shape decisions at the top. Business school has been a chance for me to stretch myself, learn from people with very different perspectives, and grow into a leader who can make an impact across an organization.

Ross felt like the right place because I wanted a program that was hands-on and collaborative. I liked that I would get to work on real problems through MAP and learn alongside classmates who bring such a wide variety of experiences. What mattered most to me, though, was the culture. Every student and alum I spoke with came across as supportive, genuine, and excited to help, and I knew I wanted to be part of that kind of community.

Outside of school, I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes, exploring restaurants and wine, and spending time outdoors on hikes or long walks. I’m also really into skincare, which for me is a mix of hobby and self-care. Friends would probably describe me as someone who brings a lot of energy, loves planning trips and gatherings, and makes it a priority to connect people in a way that feels welcoming and fun.

If you’re curious about the Ross experience, the MBA journey, or just want to hear what life in Ann Arbor is like, I’d be happy to chat!
