Mohsen Khabir

Class of 2025

With over a decade of cross-industry experience spanning manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure, I bring a systems-level perspective on how organizations transform ideas into scalable, sustainable operations. My early career in shipbuilding and offshore oil & gas, managing complex engineering portfolios and global supply-chain interfaces, shaped my foundation in risk governance, stakeholder management, and industrial innovation.

Seeking to expand into strategic leadership, I pursued my MBA at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where I strengthened my analytical and operational acumen through action-based learning, industry collaboration, and transformative leadership experiences.

Action-Based Learning at Ross:

As a Tauber Institute for Global Operations Fellow, I collaborated with DTE Energy to design a scenario-based cost and risk model for a $121M grid modernization program, strengthening capital allocation and regulatory compliance.
During my MAP project with Schneider Electric, I partnered with senior leaders to optimize digital operations and corporate strategy, an experience that deepened my understanding of data-driven value creation.

Current Role:

Currently, I serve as a Program Manager at Engineered Plastic Components (EPC), where I lead cross-functional teams delivering advanced injection-molded solutions for automotive OEMs. My focus is on data-enabled manufacturing excellence, lean transformation, and cross-enterprise collaboration that drives operational efficiency and resilience.

Why I Serve as a Ross Ambassador:

I believe in the power of community, collaboration, and mentorship, values deeply embedded in Ross culture. As an alumnus, I’m passionate about helping prospective and current MBAs navigate career pivots into operations, consulting, or energy transition, especially those from technical or international backgrounds.

I’m available for 1-on-1 chats with international or operations-focused candidates.
