Nebyat Teferra

Class of 2027

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and having spent the past decade in the Northeast, I’ve built my career at the intersection of supply chain and procurement strategy. After earning a dual degree in Economics and International Relations from Boston University, I began my career as a supply chain analyst at Pfizer, where I analyzed data and developed strategies amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, I’ve worked across industries at Bloomberg and Jones Lang LaSalle, helping organizations design sustainable, diverse purchasing solutions.

Most recently, I served as Director of Operations at the Emerging Markets Investors Alliance, a nonprofit that partners with institutional investors to promote sustainable development and improve investment performance. In this role, I designed and launched operational infrastructure, co-developed the organization’s inaugural impact report, and built an engagement strategy for our Board of Directors, all while fueling my passion for sustainability and innovation.

What drew me to Michigan Ross was not only the world-class resources and value-driven opportunities to grow my career, but also the community of driven, supportive, and brilliant people I now have the privilege of learning alongside. The relationships I’ve built with Ross students, faculty, and alumni have been some of the most meaningful of my life, and I’m honored to pay it forward as a student ambassador.

Outside of Ross, I enjoy playing tennis, exploring new chess openings, and practicing Mandarin. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, I’d love to connect about any of the above or to share more about the Ross experience!
