Nick Sheppard

Class of 2027

Hello! My name is Nick Sheppard, and I am a first-year MBA student pursuing a career in management consulting and CPG marketing. I'm originally from Houston and attended Howard University for my undergraduate studies, where I majored in Economics and Chemistry. Before coming to Ross, I worked in Deloitte's Federal Consulting practice for eight years, primarily focusing on Strategy and Organizational efficiency. Beyond my client work, I was heavily involved in our pro bono Corporate Citizenship work, leading logistics and operations for our National Day of Service for the firm.

I decided to pursue my MBA to pivot from federal consulting to work more with consumers, either within the industry in the CPG or as an advisor through management consulting. When I considered schools that would provide me with action-based learning opportunities, an engaged and collaborative community, and a community of like-minded alumni that would help me take the next step in my career, Ross was the only place to be.

During my journey as an applicant, I was struck by the genuine support I received from current students who embodied Ross's collaborative spirit. They took time out of their busy schedules to share insights and guide me through the process. Now I'm eager to extend that same support to future candidates, offering guidance and perspective as they explore what Ross has to offer.

Feel free to ask me about prioritizing your hobbies while in school, leadership on campus, the food in Ann Arbor, and the best places to hide out and recharge across campus. I'm excited to represent the University of Michigan Ross School of Business as a student ambassador, supporting prospective candidates who are considering the Full-Time MBA program..Go Blue!
