Omkar Chandhere

Class of 2025

I am Omkar Chandhere, a supply chain professional with a background in industrial engineering and a deep focus on using data and analytics to drive operational efficiency. I am currently pursuing a Master of Supply Chain Management at the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where I serve as the Alumni Relations Chair on the MSCM Executive Board and as a Student Ambassador. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, University of Mumbai, where I co-chaired the Indian Society of Manufacturing Engineers. It was during my undergraduate years that I first discovered my passion for Supply Chain Management. My academic experiences laid a strong foundation in process optimization, manufacturing systems, and leadership—skills that continue to shape my professional journey.

I am passionate about data and its transformative power in business decision-making. At ZS Associates, I refined my data analytics skills and developed a keen ability to translate numbers into actionable insights. Proficient in databases, visualizations, and statistical analysis, I thrive on creating innovative, data-driven solutions to solve complex challenges. I am deeply committed to advancing sustainable and efficient supply chain solutions, continuously seeking opportunities to drive change and make a meaningful impact.

I chose Ross for its unique balance of business, analytics, and action-based learning. Through my electives, I have honed my expertise in supply chain analytics, and solved real-world supply chain challenges using data in my action-based learning and consulting studio projects. Ross offers a wealth of electives that allow students to tailor their programs to their specific interests—whether in supply chain strategy, finance, or planning. I have peers who have personalized their experiences in these areas and now specialize in their respective fields like I did in analytics, further reinforcing the flexibility and breadth of the MSCM program.

As someone who values connection and community, I am passionate about supporting prospective students on their journey to explore and join this transformative program. My experiences at Ross—from its diverse curriculum to its collaborative community—have had a profound impact on my professional and personal growth. I am eager to share my insights, answer questions, and provide guidance about the MSCM program. Whether you’re curious about the application process, coursework, or career opportunities, I am always open to connecting with prospective students and helping them make informed decisions about their future in supply chain management.
