Riya

Hi! My name is Riya and I am from Canton, Michigan, a BBA student currently concentrating in Finance.

When I was deciding where to go to college, I wanted a place that would challenge me academically but also feel energizing and community-driven, and Michigan has exceeded all of that. From my first week on campus, whether it was moving into my freshman dorm or experiencing the atmosphere at the Big House, I could tell there was something uniquely powerful about being here.

What I’ve appreciated most is how much room there is to explore. Ross pushes you to think critically and grow professionally, but it also encourages you to find your people and your passions. Whether that’s through student organizations, pitch competitions, late-night study sessions, or game days with friends, there’s a strong sense that everyone is striving, but also supporting each other along the way.
