My Headshot

Samuel Latto

Class of 2027

Hi my name is Sam Latto.  Born and raised in Connecticut, I took my talents to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. This led me to General Motors, where I spent six years as a Software Engineer. During my time at GM, I continued to build on my technical skills by completing a Master of Computer Science from Georgia Tech. I then broadened my experience as a Solutions Specialist at dSPACE for a year.

Driven to explore the business side of technology, I sought an MBA program that combined a strong focus on tech with a serious commitment to community. This search led me to the Ross School of Business, where I am now gaining a new perspective on the tech world. Instead of focusing on coding, I am learning how to lead projects and products, taking advantage of the many opportunities at Ross to learn and grow.

When I'm not in class, you can find me on the golf course or exploring the vibrant community of Ann Arbor with friends, always on the lookout for a new adventure.

I would be happy to talk about my pivot from engineer to MBA, what it is like being a student again and all the great things about moving to Ann Arbor!
