Sanket Kulkarni
I grew up in Dharashiv, a small city in Maharashtra, India, known for its ancient temples and agricultural roots, far from the world of boardrooms and global business. For me, pursuing an MBA was never just about a career milestone, it was a way to grow, lead, and one day give back to the community that shaped me. My journey has taken me through engineering, analytics, and strategy, but what has stayed constant is my love for solving real problems and building community.
Ross stood out to me because it was more than a school. It felt like a place where both personal and professional growth are nurtured. The action-based learning approach, the diversity of perspectives, and the strong support for extended families including spouses, partners, children, and loved ones made the decision feel right. From day one, my spouse felt just as welcomed and included as I did. That sense of belonging matters.
Outside the classroom, I find energy and balance in the things I love ie. hiking through national parks, following motorsports, and mentoring early-career professionals. These passions keep me grounded and remind me why growth should be both personal and purposeful.
Whether you’re coming from a small town, a technical background, or exploring what an MBA could mean for you and your family, I’d be happy to share how Ross helped me turn a long-standing dream into a living, evolving journey. Go Blue!
