Class of 2025

Hi, my name is Yale, and I am a proud member of the Weekend MBA Class of 2025 at Michigan Ross. Originally from Belmont, a small town near Charlotte, NC, I graduated from NC State University in 2019 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Following the challenges of COVID-related layoffs, I spent three years with Amazon Operations before transitioning to Ally Financial, where I specialized in operational risk management, overseeing Investments, New Products, and Governance committees.

I’ve always been a Michigan fan, and I was particularly impressed by the vast network and opportunities available to Ross MBA graduates. I was seeking an MBA program that offered the same caliber of opportunities as their full-time track counterparts. Ross’s action-based learning environment, programs like Multidisciplinary Action Projects (MAP), the Ross Leadership Academy, nonprofit board fellowships, and investment fund opportunities have exceeded my expectations. Moreover, the support from faculty and staff has been exceptional, and I’m eager to leverage the Ross alumni network in the future.

Outside of work and academics, I enjoy engaging in team sports, participating in poker games, watching football, trying out new foods, and connecting with friends. And as an added bonus, Michigan claimed the national championship during my first year in the program!
