Yale Loucks, Jr.
Hi, my name is Yale, and I’m a proud graduate of the Weekend MBA Class of 2025 at Michigan Ross. I’m originally from Belmont, a small town near Charlotte, NC, and earned my BS in Mechanical Engineering from NC State University in 2019. After COVID-related layoffs, I spent three years in Amazon Operations before transitioning to Ally Financial, where I specialized in operational risk management across Investments, New Products, and Governance committees.
As a longtime Michigan fan, I chose Ross for its strong network and the opportunity to access the same caliber of resources as the full-time MBA program. During my time at Ross, I traveled internationally for my MAP project and a global trek, which broadened my perspective on international business. I also engaged with the Zell Lurie Institute to deepen my understanding of entrepreneurship and innovation. Programs like the Ross Leadership Academy and the nonprofit board fellowship added further depth to my experience, both personally and professionally.
One of the highlights of my time at Ross was watching Michigan win the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship during my first year.
Outside of work, I enjoy team sports, poker, college football, trying new foods, and connecting with friends.
