Data Visualization and Storytelling --- In today's data rich environment, the ability to effectively communicate data driven insights is critical. This course helps students learn to identify important patterns in large data sets and then communicate those managerial insights in a persuasive way for effective decision making. Students will learn how to build compelling visual narratives that inform, persuade, and inspire diverse audiences to effect change. This course teaches students how to work with and analyze large datasets using PowerBI for building effective visualizations, designing informative dashboards and delivering impactful data driven stories. The course emphasizes best practices for data visualization, managing challenges with large datasets, avoiding common mistakes and pitfalls, and how to create impactful visuals and effectively communicate business insights visually. Many of the sessions will involve hands on work, using the popular data visualization tool: Microsoft PowerBI.
