Fundamentals of Corporate Finance --- This is the introductory PhD-level course in corporate finance. It starts with the Modigliani and Miller theorems and then discusses common frictions explored in corporate finance. A particular focus is the role of asymmetric information, both moral hazard and adverse selection. Applications considered include capital structure, external financing, and corporate governance. Prior exposure to microeconomics, particularly information economics, at the PhD level will be helpful.
