Macroeconomic Data and Analysis --- Macroeconomics cannot be understood through theory alone. Data is crucial. Especially for business decisionmakers, understanding national and global trends is crucial for strategic decision making. Fortunately, there is a preponderance of publicly available macroeconomic data. Students in this course will explore the available macroeconomic data and complete a series of projects to use the data. Topics will include growth, spending, inflation, unemployment, interest rates, debt, banking, trade, and more. Students will gain valuable technical skills in evaluating and analyzing data, creating visuals, and telling stories. Many jobs will require this, particularly those in banking, finance, consulting, or public policy.
