Wolverine Public Real Estate Investment (REIT) Fund --- The Wolverine Public Real Estate Investment (REIT) Fund is a student-managed investment fund that oversees assets on behalf of the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Established in 2025 through the generous support of Mark and Allison Parrell --with Mark serving as CEO of Equity Residential (EQR)-- and developed in collaboration with the Weiser Center for Real Estate, the fund advances the Ross School's action-based learning mission by providing students with a hands-on, real-time investment experience. The course begins by establishing a strong foundation in REIT fundamentals, including their unique characteristics as an investment vehicle and valuation methodologies. Students then apply this knowledge by researching and pitching U.S. listed REITs, Real Estate Operating Companies (REOCs), and homebuilders for potential inclusion in the Wolverine REIT Fund.
