Capstone - Management Consulting --- This course provides an action-based learning, capstone experience that realistically simulates a consulting engagement. Students are organized into teams and cast into the role of management consultants to advise executives at the Velocity Manufacturing Company how to transform their slumping business. The facts of the engagement are presented to students as a portfolio of case materials consisting of lectures, proposals, research reports, company financial statements, client role plays and project meeting simulations. Students see the class come to life as a project team environment where they learn firsthand how consulting engagement is sold, managed, and executed similar to that of today's leading professional services firms. TO 465 is a must for students considering or preparing for a career in consulting.
