Murat Koksalan

Murat Köksalan is a visiting professor at the Technology and Operations area of the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  He held various positions including professor and chairperson of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Middle East Technical University, visiting professor at Georgetown University, Aalto University, Purdue University, and SUNY Buffalo.  He received the young researcher award of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, The MCDM Gold Medal of the International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making, and the Science Award of the Parlar Foundation.  He won the first prize at the INFORMS Case Competition with various co-authors four times.  His academic interests include multiple criteria decision making, combinatorial optimization, heuristic search, combinatorial auctions, and preparing teaching cases.
