We are excited to announce that the application for our One-Year Master’s Programs Class of 2028 is now open for submissions!

Here are a few important updates you need to know about this year’s application:

Announcing the Paton Summer Immersion Program

We are excited to introduce the Paton Summer Immersion Program, a new pathway into the Master of Accounting Program designed specifically for students without an undergraduate degree in accounting.

Launching in Summer 2027, the Paton Summer Immersion Program provides a structured, immersive academic experience that equips students with the foundational accounting knowledge needed to thrive in the MAcc curriculum. Through a combination of coursework, faculty engagement, and community-building activities, participants will develop the confidence and skills necessary for a successful transition into graduate study.

To support student success and recognize exceptional potential, Paton Summer Immersion Scholars will receive a minimum $25,000 scholarship toward their Michigan Ross MAcc experience. This significant investment, made possible through the generous support of the William A. Paton Foundation, expands access to a world-class accounting education while helping reduce financial barriers for talented students from diverse academic backgrounds.

Considering More Than One Program? We Can Help

Applicants may continue to apply to multiple Ross One-Year Master’s Programs through a single application submission.

This option allows you to be considered for multiple programs that align with your interests, experience, and career goals.

Not sure which program is right for you? Contact us at [email protected] or schedule a one-on-one advising appointment with our team. We’re happy to help you explore your options and determine which program or programs may be the best fit.

Asynchronous Admissions Video Interview

We know AI tools are becoming more common in the application process. And while they can be helpful for brainstorming or preparing, we’ve also noticed that AI-generated responses in video interviews are increasingly easy to spot — and often not as compelling as applicants may hope. Polished answers can sometimes come across as generic, overly scripted, or disconnected from the person behind the application.

The video interview is your opportunity to show us how you think, communicate, and reflect in the moment. We’re not looking for perfection; we’re looking for authenticity. Strong responses are specific, personal, and grounded in your own experiences, goals, and perspective.

So our best advice? Prepare, but don’t over-script. Take a breath, listen to the question, and respond in a way that feels natural and true to you.

Round 1 Deadline

Our Round 1 application deadline is Sept. 11, 2026. To be considered in this round, your application materials should be complete and submitted by the deadline.

That said, we know life happens, and there may be a little wiggle room as materials are finalized. However, if you are not confident that your application is fully ready to go by Sept. 11, we encourage you to consider applying by our Round 2 deadline on Oct. 23, 2026, instead.

Submitting in a later round with stronger, more polished materials is often better than rushing to meet an earlier deadline. Take the time you need to put forward your best application.
