LATEST - This Year’s Michigan Ross BBA Employment Report Shows Spike in Salary Packages, with Google, Citi, Deloitte, McKinsey, JP Morgan Among Top Employers

It’s a good time to be a graduate of the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Michigan Ross. According to the 2019 BBA Employment Report, the most recent Michigan Ross BBA graduates received the highest-ever median salary package. Also, this year’s graduates accepted impressive job placements at the most sought-after hiring companies, including:  JP Morgan, EY, Citi, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Facebook Inc., Boston Consulting Group, Oracle, L’Oreal, Teach for America, Kraft Heinz Co., and Unilever.

The record-setting average median salary package of $88,500 ($78,500 median base salary + $10,000 median signing bonus) represents a major jump from last year, which was $79,500 ($72,000 + $7,500 median bonus).

Job offers for the Class of 2019 remained strong at 97 percent by September 30, 2019, as did the number of hiring companies at 186, up slightly from 185 in 2018.

Ross BBA graduates also continued to land jobs in a wide array of industries and organizations. Consulting experienced the largest increase this year, followed by finance. Additionally, over 70 percent of BBA grads accepted jobs on the East Coast, West Coast, or in Chicago. 

The new report also looks at the placement data for summer internships held by the Class of 2020. More than 170 companies hired BBA interns in 2019 — including Amazon, Apple, J.P. Morgan, and Hulu — and the annualized salary they received this past summer was $60,000.
