Susan Caplan, Ed.D., joined the Executive Education team at Michigan Ross as Managing Director, Global Open Enrollment Programs and New Content Development in 2024.

Susan has worked in professional and executive education for two decades. Prior to joining Ross, Susan was Director of Global Open Enrollment Programs at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At Tepper, she partnered with faculty, corporations, and nonprofit organizations to develop programming on AI, analytics, and technology; leadership and strategy; communication; and diversity, equity and inclusion.

She also spent fifteen years in New York City, where she held roles developing and overseeing professional programs at NYU’s School of Professional Studies and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.

Susan holds a doctorate in higher education administration from NYU Steinhardt, a master's degree in higher & postsecondary education from Columbia University Teachers College, and a bachelor's degree with distinction in English from Kenyon College. Though born and raised in Ohio, as the granddaughter of a University of Michigan graduate, she has always rooted for the Wolverines.
