At the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, you can take advantage of the strengths of the broader institution, one of the most collaborative research universities in the world, by combining your MM with a dual degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the College of Engineering.
The U-M Mechanical Engineering Department has recently developed a combined degree program with the highly ranked Ross School of Business, in which students can pursue both an ME Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) degree and a Ross Master of Management (MM) degree.
Michigan Ross’ MM Program is designed for non-business majors who are graduating this year or completed their undergraduate studies less than two years ago. The MM program offers an action-based curriculum in business fundamentals, high-impact leadership development, and a dynamic, purposely designed career search preparation program to power your potential and help land your ideal job.
Michigan’s Mechanical Engineering program is consistently ranked among the top in the nation. Its multidisciplinary approach to analysis and learning combines trendsetting research with challenging coursework and leadership opportunities.
Whether you have a background in engineering or are a non-engineering student interested in expanding your toolkit, by combining an education from two of the world’s top-ranked professional graduate schools, the MM/MSE Dual Degree Program prepares you to excel in any organization. Students have accepted internships and full time positions at companies including General Motors, Boeing, Caterpillar, Apple, BCG, Cummins, and Northrop Grumman.
Furthermore, because of double counting of credits in the combined program, it is accelerated such that completion of the dual degree only takes two years.
Instructions for applying to the combined program will be provided in late January to prospective students expressing interest in this opportunity on their application.
