Michigan Ross Introduces New Housing Community for First-year BBAs

For the first time this fall, incoming BBA students at Michigan Ross will be able to join a new residential community designed to connect like-minded students who share a passion for the power of positive business.

The residents of the new Living Business community will share a floor of the West Quad & Cambridge House residence hall and participate in a suite of new learning opportunities and collaborative activities developed by Michigan Ross and University Housing.

This unique living, learning experience is designed to help students gain a deeper understanding of the goals and values of a Michigan Ross education and strengthen connections between Ross classmates and students from other U-M programs.

Theme communities such as this allow students to pursue passions, explore new interests in a co-curricular setting, and ready themselves to apply their learning to a complex and diverse world.

“We are thrilled to introduce this new housing option to our first-year BBA students,” said Norm Bishara, associate dean for undergraduate programs at Ross. “Our goal is for this community to represent the incredibly diverse population at Ross and help our students forge and strengthen the bonds that will help them be successful during their four years here, and beyond.”

In addition to living together in West Quad, Living Business residents will participate in theme-specific programming and advocate and champion the values of Ross on campus. The community will welcome its first residents in the fall of 2019.
