Applying to college can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate the process alone. One of the best ways to learn more about the University of Michigan, and whether it's the right fit for you, is by attending an admissions event this fall.

If you're a prospective high school student who lives in Michigan, there are two excellent opportunities to connect with us this fall: Bringing Blue to You and Discover Ross. While each event has a different focus, they share the same goal: helping you feel informed, confident, and excited about your college journey.

Bringing Blue to You: Learn More About the University of Michigan

Hosted by the U-M Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Bringing Blue to You is an event that travels across Michigan to meet students where they are. This program is designed specifically for Michigan residents and provides an opportunity to learn more about the undergraduate admissions process without having to come to Ann Arbor.

During a Bringing Blue to You event, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn more about the University of Michigan community and campus experience.
  • Hear directly from admissions counselors for your area.
  • Understand the first-year application process.
  • Receive tips on submitting a competitive application.
  • Ask questions about Ross and the BBA program.
  • Experience a student panel from current students.
  • Ask questions about academics, student life, financial aid, and more.

Whether you're just beginning your college search or getting ready to submit your application to Michigan, Bringing Blue to You is a great place to start. Events will take place throughout August and September.

Discover Ross: Explore Business at Michigan Ross

Already thinking about studying business?

Discover Ross is designed specifically for Michigan high school students who are interested in business. This event goes beyond general admissions information by providing a closer look at what it means to be a Ross student and how to prepare a competitive application.

At Discover Ross, you'll learn about:

  • The Ross Bachelor of Business Administration Program.
  • The first-year admissions portfolio and how it complements your U-M application.
  • Our holistic application review process.
  • Financial Aid and Scholarship opportunities.
  • Student experiences inside and outside the classroom.
  • Actual portfolio examples submitted by in-state students who are now studying at Ross.

Whether you're certain that business is your future or you're still exploring the field, Discover Ross provides valuable insight into what makes a Ross education unique and how you can put your best application forward.

Which Event Should You Attend?

The answer is simple: both!

Bringing Blue to You provides a broad overview of U-M and the undergraduate admissions process, while Discover Ross dives deeper into the business school experience and Ross-specific application process. Together, they offer a comprehensive look at what it means to become a Wolverine and for aspiring business students, what it takes to become part of the Ross community.

Even if you've already visited campus or attended another admissions event, each event offers unique information and opportunities to ask questions that are important to you.

We Hope to See You Soon

Choosing a college is a big decision, and attending an admissions event is one of the best ways to determine if a school is the right fit. We encourage Michigan students to take advantage of these free opportunities to connect with admissions staff, gain valuable application advice, and start imagining themselves on campus.

We look forward to meeting you at a Bringing Blue to You or Discover Ross event this fall.

Go Blue!
