Positive Business Communication --- The goal of this course is to improve students' effectiveness as leaders, managers, and team members by introducing frameworks for understanding how positive communicative behaviors in the workplace as a means for building exceptional performance among employees, teams and organizations. We also explore how specific communicative behaviors can be used to identify employee and organizational strengths, which in turn can create additional resources for addressing most common interpersonal challenges faced by managers and leaders. Communicative challenges examined include giving constructive feedback, addressing conflicts in teams, persuading with integrity, and leading through organizational change. Concepts covered in this course fits within the larger scope of positive organizational practices as they provide the tactical means for building high quality connections, sparking positive emotions and energy, expanding possible business solutions and fostering individual and group performance.
