Val brings more than 20 years of coaching and counseling expertise to Michigan Ross, where she’s guided part-time MBA students for the past 10 years. She specializes in helping students clarify career goals and confidently navigate job searches through one-on-one coaching sessions, tailored programming, and connections to other career development resources. Before joining Ross, Val led programs supporting staff across U-M, focusing on career transitions and work/life balance.She holds a master’s in social work from the University of Michigan and a master’s in human resources and organizational development from Eastern Michigan University. Outside of work, Val enjoys reading and spending time with her family and two dogs.
