Blending a real-world learning experience with flexibility and a focus on measurable career outcomes has landed the Ross School of Business at No. 3 on Poets&QuantsBest Online MBA Programs of 2026 list.

For the fourth year in a row, and in its fourth year of eligibility, the Michigan Ross Online MBA Program has received a top-five placement in P&Q’s rankings, earning its place among 61 peer institutions. Less than a point separates the final scores of the top three schools in the 2026 ranking.

P&Q’s ranking methodology gives equal weight to three categories: admissions standards, academic experience, and career outcomes. P&Q then compiles the rankings using data collected from surveys completed by the school and by alumni. Schools complete a survey on admissions information, and alumni who graduated between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, complete surveys about their academic experience and career outcomes.

Within these rankings, Michigan Ross came in at No. 1 for career outcomes, which measures how effectively the Online MBA helps alumni advance in their careers during the program or shortly after graduation. According to P&Q, Ross graduates report strong career progress, with 56.2% of respondents earning a promotion and 65.6% receiving a pay raise during or shortly after completing the program. Alumni also highlighted the value of the professional networks they built through the program and the comprehensive career resources and support that Ross offers, which helped them achieve their career goals.

“We are proud to continue our strong performance in Poets&Quants’ rankings,” said S. Sriram, associate dean for graduate programs. “This recognition demonstrates the dedication of our faculty and staff to providing a rigorous, flexible, and collaborative Online MBA experience that delivers real career impact and a lifelong return on investment for Michigan Ross students.”
