The second annual Winter Wellness Week at the Ross School of Business will kick off on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020. Wellness Week is a collection of events that help Michigan Ross students build and sustain a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

The week is organized by The Comfort Zone , a student-run health and well-being initiative at Ross that is committed to building an inclusive community and providing meaningful resources to help MBAs prioritize their wellness. The Comfort Zone organized their first Wellness Week last year, with many different events designed to give MBA students the resources and tools necessary to manage stress and anxiety.

Be sure to take a break from your typical routine to attend this year’s Wellness Week events:

Keynote with Greg Harden (Monday, Jan. 27, 4:30-5:15 p.m., R2230)

Greg Harden is a life coach, motivational speaker, and executive consultant best known for his work with Tom Brady, Desmond Howard, and Michael Phelps. He will discuss the importance of physical, mental, and spiritual health, and how it can help you achieve your goals.

Fail Wall (Tuesday, Jan. 28 - Friday, Jan. 31, Outside Seigle Cafe)

Resiliency is the ability to bounce back and thrive during challenging situations. Soojin Kwon, managing director of Full-Time MBA Admissions and Programs at Michigan Ross, will kick off this event and moderate a student panel who will discuss tips for dealing with stress, keeping life issues in perspective, and the importance of staying flexible. Julie Kaplan, embedded Ross CAPS counselor, will talk about wellness resources available at Ross and the University of Michigan.

Art Night (Thursday, Jan. 30, 5-7 p.m., The Yard)

Connect with other students while creating art and having snacks. There will be watercolor painting and card marking. All skill levels are welcome.

CityRow (Friday, Jan. 31, 5:30-6:30 p.m., CityRow)

Get a free, high-intensity rowing workout class, reserved just for Ross students. Sign-ups will be first come, first served.

In addition to these events, FitX, a new health and wellness innovation and professional MBA club, will host a Q&A with Eric Mandell, vice president of marketing at MIRROR, a home fitness system provider. Mandell will give a short presentation from 7- 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, in R1540.
