Why did you decide to enroll in the Michigan Ross Master of Supply Chain Management Program?
Two main reasons for enrolling in the Michigan Ross MSCM program were the program’s ranking, as the Ross MSCM Program is the No. 2-ranked supply chain program in the world. The other is the brand value of Ross students/alumni. I was told by an alum that the Ross brand name stands out as a differentiator during recruitment/networking, and the brand stays with you forever.
What made the Ross MSCM Program stand out to you versus other programs?
Action-based learning and, one month into the program, I can confidently say that the Ross curriculum replicates a team environment similar to what one would face at work. This enhances people's experience to the next level. The curriculum is really well-designed, like a piece of art, as it covers diverse topics while stressing on the practical use of those topics. We also participate in various simulations/competitions that challenge teams with real-world scenarios.
What are you most looking forward to in the program and at Ross?
I am looking forward to Professor Roman Kapuscinski’s class on manufacturing and operations. I was told that once around Halloween, Professor Roman came to the class in Dracula attire. I hope I get to see something equally interesting this year. I am also looking forward to an action-based learning project with AT Kearney in the fall semester, and the Supply Chain Consulting Studio in the winter semester, where I will get a chance to apply the concepts learned during the program in a real, corporate environment.
How do you believe pursuing this degree at Ross will help you in your career?
Ross alumni are present in almost any company one aspires to work for. They are also very helpful, so Ross students are always at an advantage of making connections with relative ease and finding what alums call "boosters," who would guide students to make an impact.
