I was born and raised in America's Finest City, San Diego, California. I am half Filipino and half Portuguese. My father immigrated from the Philippines, and my mother immigrated from Portugal. I love celebrating both cultures due to their values centered around family and having a good attitude towards life. While I lived in San Diego, I found myself playing basketball and enjoying the beach. San Diego is also a mecca for diversity, which brings tons of different foods from all over the world. I love myself a California Burrito (there is only one way to make them and if you know you know). I also worked at a Michelin-recommended Japanese Ramen restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed that - mostly the great ramen and sake.

During my undergrad, I studied finance at San Diego State University. One of my favorite things I have done was be an assistant/practice player for the women's basketball team during my time there. Following my undergrad, I spent four years in the Army as a Field Artillery Officer, Space Operations Reservist Officer, and Logistics Officer. My favorite duty station was Colorado. In Colorado, I fell in love with the snow and the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Following my time in the military I spent nearly two years as a consultant for the federal sector. Thankfully, I was able to return to San Diego with the position.

I also have a beautiful family: my wife, two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and one-year-old son. Each day I am so grateful for my family and especially my wife's top-tier cooking. Even though we have two crazy kids, my wife and I find ourselves traveling and exploring the United States. Some of our favorite places to travel have been Grand Teton National Park, and Telluride, Colorado.
