Destiny

Destiny

Class of 2027

Hello everyone! My name is Destiny Alleman and I am a Freshman from Hagerstown, MD looking to concentrate in finance with a concentration in either entrepreneurship or sustainability. In business, I am looking to grow my skills in finance to contribute to equity in the United States.

I have found Michigan to be one of the strongest college towns with so many passionate students! Even though I was not engaged with football in the past, the football season has become one of my favorite seasons due to our culture. While our sports culture is strong, there are definitely other avenues of spirit if you are not a sport-sy person. There is a community for everyone; I have found my closest friends here!

Furthermore, I have also found Ross to be a space enriched in so many opportunities to advance yourself professionally. At Michigan Ross, I highly recommend CDO (The Career Development Office) because it has opened my eyes to navigating the career space, my pathways, and connecting with upperclassmen. Ross supplies its students with an abundance of resources.
As for what I like to do in my free time, I enjoy taking photos around campus for my pinterest, repurposing clothing, and learning how to be a sustainable consumer. Coming from a small town in Western Maryland, I have grown to love the fast-paced nature of Ann Arbor. Not only for its eventful presence, but also for the way it allows me to flourish! I am excited to talk with you about Michigan if you have any questions. I hope you choose U-M and go blue!

What is one of your favorite places to travel?
California! It is a sweet contrast to the lovely and crisp fall mornings of Ann Arbor.
