George

Class of 2026

Hi everyone! I’m so glad to see that you are interested in the Ross School of Business! My name is George Perkins and I am originally from Kansas City, Kansas. I just wrapped up my sophomore year, where I was able to dive deep into the Ross curriculum through my core classes such as Accounting and Technology and Operations. I really enjoyed getting to know my Ross section better this year; now, whenever I get to class, I’m greeted with dozens of friendly faces that I get to talk with before and after class. It’s awesome to look back at the start of this year and see how close I’ve gotten with people I didn’t even know!

As a freshman, I joined a consulting club and a finance club as I tried to figure out what career path I wanted to pursue. While I joined these organizations for the professional experience, I quickly realized that the people I met would make the biggest difference in my life. I now serve on the executive board for my consulting club and am lucky enough to call the other members of my analyst class some of my best friends. If there is one thing I could tell a future Ross student, it’s that putting yourself out there and keeping an open mind will lead you down more paths than you’d ever imagine!

Where is your favorite place to eat in Ann Arbor?
My favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor is Mani Osteria; you have to try the prosciutto and arugula pizza!
