Miguel Avendano

I was born and raised in Santa Marta, Colombia. Before coming to Ross, I spent six years in the healthcare industry. Throughout my professional experience, I’ve always been drawn to understanding how businesses operate across different industries. This curiosity led me to pursue an MBA, aiming to enhance my business acumen, become a more effective leader, and learn from both professors and fellow MBA candidates.

I chose Ross for three main reasons. First, I believe the academic rigor and the ability to personalize the MBA with a wide variety of electives are crucial for maximizing the experience. Second, the numerous clubs and extracurricular activities offer a rich, immersive experience. Lastly, the incredible sense of community at Ross, which I’m confident makes this program a unique and transformative experience.
