Philip Chu

I was born in Hong Kong but I grew up in Shanghai before coming to the US for my undergrad. I got my undergrad degree at Michigan State University majoring in Accounting and minoring in Information Technology. 

I started my career at Deloitte in the Detroit office as part of their Advisory practice, specializing in IT assurance. During that period, I worked with clients in the automotive and financial services industry. I was primary working on IT SOX audits and several internal audit projects. After a little more than 2 years, I transferred to Deloitte's M&A transaction services practice and moved to Houston, Texas. I worked on financial due diligence, financial modeling, SAP implementation, and accounting reporting and integration projects. After Deloitte, I joined Sysco's FP&A team focusing on supply chain technology to gain some experience in a corporate setting.

Pursuing an MBA has always been my goal and the Ross community has been nothing but helpful to my personal and professional growth. The primary reason why I decided to come to Ross is because of the resources that are available to students to help them be successful!
