Roneal Demerson

My name is Ron and I grew up in Texas and as a first-generation college graduate. After serving as an intelligence analyst in the U.S. Air Force for five years, I transitioned into a corporate role with Disney in platform distribution, where I managed our international streaming licenses. My time at Disney and my internship with Backstage Capital, sparked my passion for venture capital and supporting diverse founders—communities that are often overlooked and underfunded. 

Currently I’m an Investment Associate with the Social Venture Fund, where I work to provide non-dilutive capital to social impact startups in healthcare, education, and climate, which aligns with my mission to support underserved communities and founders. Ross has been the perfect environment for me to sharpen my skills while continuing to advocate for a more equitable world.

Outside of school, I love to hoop, run, and explore what Ann Arbor has to offer.  I’m excited to connect and share how Ross can support your journey or answer any questions you may have!
